The Diocese of Youngstown is seeking a full-time Director for the Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Life. This is a full-time, exempt, at-will position.

 The Diocesan Director of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Life assists pastors, parishes and Catholic organizations in developing, coordinating and administering an effective and comprehensive pro-life, marriage and family life ministry.

 Applicants must be practicing Catholics in good standing and have a thorough knowledge of Catholic Church teachings, documents and writings on the dignity of the human person, marriage and family, and be able to articulate those teachings through verbal and written communications. Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Background in ethics, sacramental theology, medical moral issues and family life is essential.

 Primary responsibilities include: providing a variety of formational and educational programs, events, services and resources designed to advance the dignity of the human person at all stages of life, as well as present authentic Catholic teaching on the Sacrament of Marriage, family life and human sexuality; coordinating marriage preparation classes and monthly marriage preparation retreat days; planning annual Respect Life and wedding anniversary liturgies; assisting parish marriage preparation teams; presenting in-service and workshops for marriage preparation, Natural Family Planning instructors and post-abortion healing.
