Concert at St. Columba Cathedral Oct. 22

             The complete organ works of Maurice Duruflé will be presented at St. Columba Cathedral on Tuesday evening, October 22, at 7:00 p.m.

            Duruflé (1903-1986) was a prominent Roman Catholic composer in Paris, France, and is probably best known for his Requiem Mass, which is based on Gregorian Chant melodies. The concert will feature guest artist Dr. H. Ricardo Ramirez, music director and organist at Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral.

            The concert is free and open to the public. Security and free parking provided.
