The Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, has
appointed Very Rev. Msgr. Peter M. Polando, J.C.L. as Judicial Vicar in the Tribunal of the
Diocese of Youngstown. Effective July 1, he has also appointed Reverend Martin Celuch,
J.C.L., as Adjutant Judicial Vicar.

Monsignor Polando received his licentiate in canon law from the Catholic University of
America, Washington, D.C. in 1994. He has served as a Judge and Defender of the Bond
in the Diocesan Tribunal since 1994 and as Adjutant Judicial Vicar since 2003. In his
capacity as Judicial Vicar, he will also serve as Executive Director of the Department of
Canonical Services for the Diocese of Youngstown. Monsignor Polando is currently Rector
of St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.

Reverend Celuch received his licentiate in canon law from the Catholic University of
America, Washington, D.C. in 2011. He served as Judge and Defender of the Bond in the
Diocesan Tribunal since 2011. Reverend Celuch also serves as Pastor of Our Lady of
Sorrows Parish in Youngstown.

Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio, J.C.L., whose term as Judicial Vicar ends July 1, will
remain on the court as Judge and Defender of the Bond. Monsignor Cariglio is the Rector of
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica – St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Youngstown.

Bishop Murry has also appointed Reverend Daniel Finnerty (newly ordained) as Parochial
Vicar (Associate Pastor) to St. Paul Parish in North Canton effective July 1.
