Mr. Pat Palombo, Director of the Diocese of Youngstown Office of Development and
Stewardship, will expand his duties in response to the Pastoral Plan for Evangelization
promulgated by Bishop George V. Murry, S.J. The Pastoral Plan calls for expanded
services to local parish communities and Catholic agencies. Mr. Palombo's duties will
now include on-site fundraising, marketing and capital fund programs for parishes,
Catholic Schools and diocesan agencies. His new duties will be in addition to his
current responsibilities of promoting the Diocese of Youngstown Foundation, marketing
planned gifts from estates, and directing diocesan-wide capital and major gift fundraising.

Mr. Palombo is a two-time past president and charter member of the Mahoning/Shenango
Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a charter member and current
Treasurer of the Mahoning/Shenango Planned Giving Council. He received an award as
"Outstanding Mentor" at the regional National Philanthropy Day event in 2008.
