INFORMATION MEETING OCTOBER 13, 2015
LOYOLA UNIVERSITY NEW ORLEANS
INSTITUTE FOR MINISTRY EXTENSION PROGRAM
IN DIOCESE OF YOUNGSTOWN

The Diocese of Youngstown Office of Religious Education is hosting an information meeting about the Loyola University New Orleans Institute for Ministry Extension Program (LIMEX) on October 13, 2015, 7-8:30 p.m., at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. James Church Hall, North Jackson, Ohio. The information includes course requirements, tuition, spiritual formation, and application for this graduate religious education and pastoral studies degree and certificate program in the Diocese of Youngstown. This program of graduate ministry education is for lay, religious, and ordained persons who are engaged in Church ministry or for laity who want to address themselves to their ministry in the world.

Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM), in cooperation with church related sponsoring agencies across the United States, Scotland, England, Belize, Canada, and Nigeria, responds to the needs of ministry and education personnel who have limited access to Catholic educational resources by offering on-site programs leading to the master of religious education and master of pastoral studies degrees with focus areas in Christian spirituality for pastoral ministers, pastoral life and administration, youth ministry, Hispanic ministry, religion and ecology, marketplace ministry, digital ministry, and small Christian community formation. LIM offers this same program of study for a noncredit continuing education certificate.

Students take the core courses in a learning group led by Loyola certified facilitator. Sessions for each course employ a learning design in which downloadable class lectures and other required and suggested readings are correlated with the participant's experience by means of reflective processes. Each session provides opportunities for prayer, reflection and faith sharing based on the themes and graces of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Students also choose online courses in their focus area and online electives.

Registration for the information meeting is requested. Contact the Diocese of Youngstown Office of Religious Education, 330-744-8451, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
