The office of Lay Ministry Formation is once again offering Foundations in Ministry, a 20 session program to deepen the spirituality, theological knowledge and ministry skills of laity.  In order to remain vibrant in the future, our parishes need more committed baptized disciples to participate in the ministry of the Church.  This program gives participants an opportunity to learn, pray, and reflect on their faith among a community of learners and to better discern their own call to ministry.

Foundations in Ministry runs from late September through early April and is offered at three locations throughout the Diocese of Youngstown: St. Joseph in Jefferson on Tuesday evenings, the Ursuline Center in Canfield on Monday evenings, and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville on Thursday evenings.  All sessions meet from 7:00-9:30PM.  As one past participant said, β€œit’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about your faith and church in an environment that is as excited and passionate as you are!”
