DIOCESE OF YOUNGSTOWN CALLS FOR DONATIONS TO SUPPORT WORK OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES USA IN THE AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE HARVEY

The Diocese of Youngstown is calling upon Catholics and others of good will to support the relief efforts of Catholic Charities USA, the official domestic relief agency of the U. S. Catholic Church, in addressing the needs of people impacted by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath.

Hurricane Harvey brought widespread flooding and damage throughout the Galveston/Houston area this past weekend, and continues to devastate many surrounding communities with unprecedented amounts of rain.  Donations will help to provide short-term and long-term recovery services to those affected as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives.

Local donations can be sent to Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, Office of Social Action, Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, 144 W. Wood Street, Youngstown, OH 44503.  Gifts can also be made online at www.ccdoy.org.  Click on the “Hurricane Harvey” link on the homepage.

100% of the funds collected locally will be forwarded to Catholic Charities USA to directly benefit individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
