Financial Services

The Finance Officer is responsible for the financial and administrative services and operations of the diocese, including the central offices, parishes and institutions. The department exists to facilitate all temperal aspects pertinent to the operation and management of all diocesan entities under the jurisdiction of the Bishop.

Department Functions

  • diocesan and parochial fiscal matters, including elementary and secondary schools
  • uniform bookkeeping and reporting by parishes and institutions
  • self-insurance program
  • worker's compensation
  • unemployment
  • centralized payroll
  • benefits - including hospitalization, 403(b), defined benefit pension plan
  • fiscal matters of diocesan cemeteries
  • assists parishes in planning renovations and new buildings, legal contracts and loans
  • oversee the Finance and Management Information Systems
